Privacy policy
This policy covers Tic Tac Toe - Retro for iPhone, published by Istralo.
The game has no account and never asks for your name, email, phone number or payment details. It uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played, and Google AdMob to show ads.
Who we are
The app is published by Istralo, the name under which Kiran Kashapwar, an independent developer based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, publishes apps (“we”, “us”). For anything about this policy or your data, write to hello@istralo.com.
What stays on your phone
The app saves a few things on your device: whether music and sound are muted, the date you first opened the app, how many games you have completed, the highest difficulty you have played, how many times you have opened the app, and whether you have answered the reminder offer. These control ad timing, difficulty and when the reminder offer appears. Scores for the current match stay in memory. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Analytics
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase. It sends events about how the game is used: screens viewed, games started and completed, the board size, opponent type and difficulty, moves and undo use, round length, setting changes such as music, and whether the ad consent and reminder offers were accepted. With these, Firebase receives a random app-instance ID, your device model, iOS and app version, and an approximate country or region derived from your IP address.
We use this only to understand how the game is played and to improve it. It is not linked to your name or contacts. The app does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and advertising-identifier collection is turned off for analytics. Google processes this data under its privacy policy and the Firebase privacy information. Deleting the app resets the app-instance ID.
Advertising
The app shows a banner ad. From the fourth day after you first open it, it may also show a full-screen ad after every third completed game. If an ad is not ready, play continues.
Google AdMob may collect an IP address (which can give a rough location), device or advertising identifiers, information about ad and app interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. Google uses this to deliver and measure ads, improve its services and prevent fraud. Depending on where you are and the choices you make, ads may be personalised or non-personalised. Google's processing is described in its privacy policy and information about partner apps. Information may be processed outside India.
Where required, Google's consent message is shown before ads are requested. When it applies, a privacy options button in the app lets you review or change your choice. The app never gives the advertising software your moves or scores.
Reminders
After a few games, the app may offer to send a reminder to play. If you agree, iOS asks for notification permission. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent to us or to a server. Opening the app cancels pending reminders. You can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.
What we keep and your choices
We do not sell personal information. We have no account or game records about you to retrieve, correct or delete. To remove local app data and reset the analytics ID, delete the app. For advertising choices, use the in-app privacy options when shown, your iPhone's privacy settings, or Google's My Ad Center. Google keeps analytics and advertising data according to its own retention settings and terms.
If you email us, we use the message to reply and keep it only as long as needed to handle your request. For privacy questions or requests, including rights under applicable Indian data-protection law, email hello@istralo.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.
Children
The game is for a general audience and is not directed specifically at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's information has been sent to us, contact hello@istralo.com so we can address it.
Security and changes
Gameplay happens on your device. Analytics and advertising connections use encrypted transport.
If the app's handling of information changes, we will update this page before releasing that change and revise the date above. Significant changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
